March 22 - Explore Elk County Road & Dice Run! If you’re ready for a change of scenery, we’ve got just the thing! Join us for a fun day of solving clues that will guide you and your team around Elk County, yes, you’ll be on some back roads so your ride matters. 5 of the locations will be a chance to roll the dice and your chance to win back your entry fee! The rest of the clues will be Team challenges. Solve the clues and then when you arrive, you’ll be asked to perform a task or take a picture. These team challenges are to help keep you on the right track between Dice Roll Stops! Teams will consist of 1 - 4 adults 18 and older, each team will ride together in the same vehicle and there is only 1 team per vehicle. Cost of registration is $20.00 per person. DAY OF (SATURDAY MARCH 22ND) REGISTRATION WILL BE HELD FROM NOON TO 1P.M. DURING CHECK IN, AT THE RIDGWAY MOOSE ON NORTH BROAD STREET. CASH OR CHECK ONLY! April 5th - it’s time for the Surrealist Ball, an Elk County Council on the Arts fundraiser at the Laurel Mill Golf Course

April 12th - Hop ‘n Shop Downtown Ridgway,,,shop local with spring and Easter specials. Bring the kiddos to the 10,000 (yes, 10,000!) Easter Egg Hunt at the Firemen’s Lot on North Broad starting at 11a.m., and stop by the Welcome Center too!

April 26 - 10th Annual CenClear Child Abuse Prevention Carnival Setup at 10a.m., Carnival 11a.m. to 1:30p.m. This event will take place on the following dates at the following locations:• April 5th at our Philipsburg Preschool Center, (1955 Philipsburg Bigler Hwy, Philipsburg, PA 16866). • April 26th at our St. Mary’s Preschool Center, (429 North St Mary’s Street, St. Mary’s, PA 15857). • April 26th at our CPI Center, (550 North Harrison Road, Pleasant Gap, PA 16823).

May 3 - 3rd Annual Dice Run Jeep Ride to benefit Hailey’s Reading Program. The Ridgway Elks host this annual event and registration will be from 10:30 - 12:30 day of. Enjoy the ride and meet back up at Sandy Beach, big pavilion, for a cookout. Cost is $20/person and Jeeps, Trucks and SUVs are welcome!

Elkland Search and Rescue Trout Derby

May 10 & 11 - St Leos annual Trout Derby: Registration headquarters: Ridgway Fireman's Grounds Fishing: 7 miles of Elk Creek along Route 120 East. Each participant must be appropriately registered and display the official tournament registration button. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO EXCEPTIONS! All participants over age 15 must possess a valid PA State Fishing license. ALL PA FISH AND BOAT COMMISSION RULES APPLY. Fish must be presented at a check-in station in LIVE CONDITION as determined by tournament judges. This includes fish that may apply to the Big Trout Contest and the 50/50 trout. WHEN DOES FISHING START AND END? Entrants may begin fishing on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. and must stop by 6:00 p.m. Fishing will resume on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. and stop at 2 p.m. To register, visit: https://www.stleosfishingderby.com/

May 17 - Community Wide Yard Sale sponsored by the Ridgway-Elk County Chamber of Commerce! This event usually brings about 50 applicants plus the K of C chicken BBQ and American Legion rib dinner. Lots of treasures, treats, neighbors and guests all around town:)! Application

May 26 - Memorial Day Ceremony on the bridge for those lost at sea at 9am. Parade to the Courthouse and American Legion for luncheon.

June

June 5 - Annual Chamber Golf Scramble! Laurel Mill Golf Course with registration at 10a.m. and tee time of 11a.m. Play 18 holes, shoot for the hole in one, longest drive, closest to the pin and everyone’s favorite Putting Contest sponsored by Gerg Insurance and Financial Services! Put your team together and join in the fun! Registration forms will be available soon!

June 6 - Ice Cream Social! Beginning at 5p.m. on the Courthouse lawn! Plan on attending this ‘ole fashioned’ event which benefits the Glory Bound Music Festival on August 9th.

June 20 - Elk County Historical Society Strawberry Festival at St Leos Parking lot, 4:30 to SOLD OUT!

20 - Trick Or Trail 3rd Annual 12k, 6k, & 2 mile Spooky Walk on the Laurel Mills Trail beginning at 1p.m. Registration fee: $30.00, Costumes encouraged! Sponsored by Allegheny Hike, Bike & Ski, all proceeds will be used to maintain the Laurel Mill Trail area.
